From tiger toppers at Missoni and Proenza Schouler to neon-coloured leopard at Tom Ford, there was an abundance of animal prints on the fall 2018 designer runways, which means we can expect to see them everywhere in stores shortly. The key updates? Focusing on patterns in rich colours for statement pieces like oversized coats, and purposefully layering in accessories such as tights and shoes in complementary or matching prints.

If you're excited for the rise of this (admittedly evergreen) trend, why not get a head start by strategically taking advantage of the summer sales now to add some chic animal-inspired prints to your wardrobe at great prices? Trust us, there's no better look for the urban jungle in the new season.

You'll want to wear these oversized, cat-eye sunglasses ASAP, which is never a bad thing. The slightly abstracted, leopard-meets-tiger pattern is sure to liven up your daily uniform.

Smart wrap

This vintage-feel wrap dress features an airy crepon fabric and unique watercolour-inflected tiger print. We love the retro vibes, but it would definitely make a fashionable statement worn with matching accessories, or a big-cat patterned coat.

Rich, unexpected colourways are a great way to update iconic prints like leopard. This fabric almost reads like a floral, until you look closely, thanks to the scale of the pattern and monochromatic blue tones.
