The slip dress

In theory, a slip dress seems unsuitable for cooler weather with its slinky silhouette. But the right layering takes it effortlessly into fall. If you already own a slip dress or are looking to buy one, layer a turtleneck or a fitted knit underneath to make it cool-weather appropriate.
