3 stylish DIY pet beds you can make at home
Don't spend extra cash on a doggy bed from the store! Steven demonstrates how to make your own.

We can all agree that our beloved pets need a comfortable, stylish place to rest their heads at night. But, before you spend extra money at the store, why not DIY 'em? Here are 3 simple doggy beds that you can make yourself at home.
The "Joy Ride" bed

What you'll need:
- 1 tire
- Old dog bed
- Euro pillow
- Outdoor fabric
- Paint
Directions:
- Paint tire in desired colour. Let dry.
- Insert old dog bed in bottom of tire.
- Insert Euro pillow into the centre of tire.
- Cover pillow with a piece of fabric ensuring it is well tucked in. The pillow is easily removable and can be thrown in the laundry anytime!
The "As Seen on TV" bed

What you'll need:
- Old vintage TV
- Bathmat (that looks like 'shag rug')
- Paint and wallpaper of your choice
- Pet toys
Directions:
- Remove all of the electronics from the TV. Keep in the front facade in tact.
- Paint or wallpaper the inside of TV in desired colour.
- Sdd bathmat to TV to look like 'shag carpet'.
- Add wallpaper and other art to back wall of TV.
- Add pet toys
The "Vive La France" bed

What you'll need:
- Vintage suitcase
- Measuring tape
- Foam core
- Fabric to cover foam core
- Ribbon
- Pom-pom trim
- Upholstery tacks with 'pin' removed
- Sofa legs x4
- Faux sheepskin
- Heavy duty tape
Directions:
- Attach sofa legs to bottom of suitcase.
- Open suitcase and measure the inside of the lid.
- Cut a piece of foam core to fit. Trim edges as needed.
- Wrap fabric around foam core and attach at the back with heavy duty tape like duct tape.
- Add ribbon detail to fabric using a criss-cross pattern.
- Glue upholstery tacks to the each section where the ribbon crosses each other.
- Slip postcards and other cute pieces of art under ribbon.
- Hot glue the foam core to the inside of lid.
- Add pom-pom trim to exterior edge of suitcase.
- Add faux sheepskin.
- Add other embellishments as desired.
