Here's what the Obama family's new (mega-mansion) home looks like
What do you do when you've recently become unemployed?
Well if you're the Obama family you "downsize" to a 9-bedroom, 8,200 square foot mansion in Washington, D.C.
Built in 1920, the home also includes 8.5 bathrooms, 3 fireplaces, and taxes will run them about $34k a year. How will they cope?
The house is located in the historic district of Kalorma Heights which is about 15 minutes away from The White House, you know, in case President Trump needs any help figuring out how the TV works.
It was listed for $5.9 million – a far cry from the $50,000 it was originally listed for in 1928.
They'll also be down one daughter in the house as Malia is off to intern at The Weinstein Company in NYC before heading to Harvard University this fall.
So getting laid off isn't always the worst thing ever (except when you're the leader of the free world).
