If you're looking for that statement piece to add some junglicious vibes into your life, boy do I have a DIY for you! This botanical mirror, featuring monstera leaves and fern, is very on trend with its circular shape and will take you under 30 minutes to complete! It will look great in an entryway, as a vanity mirror or on any wall in need of something special.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Crafting cork roll (24 inches wide by 48 inches long, I purchased mine at the dollar store)
  • 9 faux monstera leaves
  • 16 faux fern leaves
  • Large circular mirror with wooden frame. (I used a 22 inch diameter)
  • Scissors
  • Stapler and staples
  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Pen

Here's how to do it:

1. Begin by rolling your cork roll out flat with enough surface for the mirror to lay on. Place mirror on the cork roll and trace around the mirror circumference with a pen.

2. Cut out circle on the inside of the line with scissors. Be careful because the cork is delicate.

3. Now we can begin attaching leaves to the circumference of our cork circle. Trim off all stems from your monstera leaves with your pliers, first. Overlap a monstera leaf about an inch over the cork and attach with your stapler — two staples should do the trick.

4. Next, add a couple of fern leaves. We want our mirror to feel wild and organic so feel free mix up your leaf pattern and play around with your arrangement. Continue attaching leaves around the circle until complete.

5. Time to attach leaves and cork to the mirror. Plug in the glue gun to heat up, and flip over your mirror with the back side facing up. Now carefully flip over your leafy cork piece and place on top of mirror, leaves facing inward, with the cork lined up with the mirror edges.

6. Now glue it in place. Add a little glue onto the surface of the mirror and press down the cork and leaves and hold it in place until the glue cools, about 20 seconds. Continue gluing around the mirror, about a quarter of the way. Then carefully, lift up the cork and gently add glue to the middle of the mirror and press the cork back down. Continue securing the outer edges to your mirror until it is entirely glued. Take a good look around the edges and add more glue to any areas where needed.

7. Now it's time to hang your mirror and show off your botanical masterpiece! Nicely done, friend!
