Cable management — so not sexy, so necessary.

Cable management — so not sexy, so necessary

Cable management is not necessarily the sexiest home decor topic to tackle, but the truth is, if done correctly, your home will look better than it ever has. Many cable management systems today are made to blend in and almost go unseen. With that in mind, there are some cords you want to keep at hand — we rounded up some sleek options for those too. With these products and a little bit of ingenuity, your cable clutter should be under control in no time.

This table lamp will add a cord to your table or desktop but will eliminate the need for any cell phone or tablet charger. The base of the lamp is equipped with a wireless charging pad that is suitable for all Qi-compatible devices. It also has a built-in USB port, which is great if you have more than 2 devices that need charging.

If something more subtle is of interest, an integrated wireless charger like this Zens one is easy to install directly into your tabletop. It comes with a steel drill bit for easy installation. Be sure you have Qi compatible devices before purchasing.

Where wireless charging is not an option, these tiny donut shaped rubber holders will keep cables neat and tidy. The idea is to leave only the two ends you need exposed and keep the remaining cable wound and concealed under the flexible rubber shell. They come in a variety of colours, so choose one that will blend seamlessly with your decor.

Sometimes we just need to keep cords tidy behind a console table, sofa or tv stand. If running cables through the walls is not in the cards for you, these products may be for you. The cable management box hides a power bar and all the plugs powered up in it. It comes in a variety of colours and will fade into the background of your decor concealing a whole slew of cabes. The cable tie mounts work well in combination with a cable management box. Like a traditional zip tie, they will keep the cords together, but will also adhere to the wall or back of a table.

Finally, if keeping cords out of sight but easily accessible is what you are looking for, here are a few products that might be right for you. The magnetic clip attaches to any small cable. The bottom body has the corresponding magnet and will attach to any surface with double-sided tape. You can clip and unclip your cable at will. For larger cables, the plastic cord organizer will keep cable in line but can easily be released when needed. This product is great for the back of a tv to keep cables together and tidy.
