Near the town of Montague, P.E.I., a hidden gem emerges every spring — rows upon rows of bright, colourful tulip blooms, grown for the sole purpose of bringing joy to anyone who wishes to visit.
For the past few years, monks from the Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society have worked tirelessly to plant and cultivate tulip bulbs — tens of thousands of them!
The incredible blooms quickly became a popular springtime attraction with the locals. And so, the monks opened the fields to visitors and encouraged flower picking. After a long winter, the beautiful palette of colours can brighten any spring day.
