This May we asked Canadians to show us their spring, using the hashtag #HelloSpringCBC. And we're thrilled to see such a diverse array of  gorgeous birds from amateur bird watchers across Canada. It's official: we're obsessed with birds, and we don't care who knows it. Here are just a few examples we've gathered from across the country.

Kate Whyte from North Saanich shared these very loving chunky hummingbirds.

Mark Peck from Toronto shared this stunning photo of a double-crested cormorant spreading his wings.

Delia Downing shared this heartwarming photo of a mother robin feeding her baby in Rossland, B.C.

Is that a Baltimore oriole? This photo was taken by @CrumbLayer in the Humber Valley park in Toronto! Just look at that vibrant colour!

Never have ducks featured so prominently in our social feeds. @AngieinTO captured this curious male duck keeping an eye on spring from the treetops!

Like any Northern Ontarian, woodpeckers take unpredictable spring weather in stride. Take a look at this side-by-side of a downy woodpecker shot by Markus Schwabe. Safe to say that spring has officially sprung in Sudbury! (finger crossed!)

No wonder so many songs have been written about bluebirds. Christine Root from Midland, Ont shared this eastern bluebird singing his heart out!

That vivid pink ruffle! Colin Franks captured this stunning male Anna's hummingbird mid stretch

If you've got a camera and a minute, we'd love to see your photos! Show us your spring! Submit your image at the bottom of this page or post on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #HelloSpringCBC
