Season 3, Episode 8: Finale Week
The final bakers return to the Baking Tent for the final showdown to determine who will win the cake plate
The final three bakers return to the Baking Tent for the final showdown to determine who will win The Great Canadian Baking Show.
For the Signature Bake, the bakers put their own spin on a fruity cake. In the Technical, they tried to figure out a tricky French classic. Finally, Jodi, Colin, and Nataliia tackled what may have been the biggest Showstopper in Great Canadian Baking Show history.
The judges had to make a tough choice to determine who would win the ceremonial cake plate.

Spoilers start below this line.
For the Signature Bake, the bakers were asked to make a fraisier, a multi-layer French dessert encircled by strawberries.
For the Technical, the bakers needed to make a marjolaine, a layered dessert with hazelnut meringue, French buttercream, and a piped ganache. Nataliia wowed the judges with her bake, winning her first place in the season's last Technical challenge.
And finally for the Showstopper, the bakers each made a pièce montée, a tower of choux pastry, cake and cookies. The judges were impressed with Nataliia's bake — a statuesque tribute to Ukraine — and it was the final piece that helped her win Season 3 of The Great Canadian Baking Show.
The judges were also impressed with the strawberry cream puffs in Jodi's pièce montée. If you want to try making them at home, here's the recipe.
