"Diwali is incomplete without a show-stopping dessert," says Dhivya Subramanian, a video creator and recipe developer. And if you're still searching for the perfect sweet for your celebrations this year — or can't help but whip up one more option for the occasion —  look no further than these recipes that she shared with us for the festival season.

Among them are Subramanian's guide to making rich, decadent bowls of carrot halwa, poached pears scented with warming spices and the first dessert she learned to make from her mum, kesari.
