Your horoscope for the week ahead: Take time to recalibrate as the skies quiet

You’ll want to keep your feet planted in reality as the moon enters her first quarter in individualistic Aquarius.

Following a particularly active astrological period, the skies will slow down this week, giving us an opportunity to process the changes brought about by the solar eclipse in Scorpio and Mars turning retrograde. During this time, life could start to feel a bit predictable, but it's best not to take the quiet for granted. Use any downtime that you have to collect your thoughts and prepare yourself for the upcoming transits, which will put your problem-solving mind to the test.

On Tuesday, the emotion-ruling moon will enter her first quarter in individualistic Aquarius, inspiring us to expand our knowledge and create new rules for ourselves. This kind of lunar event can also encourage us to act before thinking, so remember to keep your feet planted in reality when making any plans for the future.

Romantic tensions could flare for those in relationships on Saturday, when love-and-beauty-ruling Venus in passionate Scorpio opposes rebellious Uranus. This transit often brings our awareness to conflict between our desire for intimacy and need for freedom. You may find it difficult to see eye to eye with your partner, but reconciliation is possible if you're willing to work for it. If you're single, the energy of this planetary clash could help you find an exciting fling to distract you. You could even get a few good stories out of it.

When sensitive Venus goes on to square responsible Saturn on Sunday, we could start to close ourselves off from those around us. Under this influence, it can be tempting to camouflage our feelings and prove that we can stand alone. This time, instead of leaning into solitude, prioritize showing up for those you care about most. If you can approach your friends and family from a place of love and kindness, you'll be able to break down those emotional walls and create space for healing.

Here is your horoscope for the week of Monday, October 31, 2022.

Aries

In the mood to plan a party, Aries? While you could be inspired to entertain in style early in the week, it's important to take a step back first and consider what's actually doable in your space. If you're in a relationship, you could also be headed toward a disagreement regarding your shared  finances during this time. Work to understand your loved one's point of view to clear the air. On the weekend, you may feel the urge to step away from your current career path — especially if you've been feeling underappreciated. Before making any permanent moves, consider your options and try to mend bridges with colleagues by being open about your needs.

Taurus

You've got big career plans, Taurus. But as you begin a new chapter in your professional story at the start of this week, tethering all of your ideas could feel impossible. Try jotting down all your sparks of inspiration to ground yourself and stay accountable to your goals. Once the work week is up, you may feel a bit burnt out or bored by your usual schedule. If you're inspired to change things up, circle back to the fire that was lit within you on Monday — and don't get discouraged if things aren't falling into place yet. You may be more aware of your limitations now, but you can still overcome them. It's time to put in the work.

Gemini

Do you have the urge to splurge, Gemini? As your thirst for adventure takes over at the top of this week, you may feel the impulse to book a big trip. Just know that there's more than one way to sate your wanderlust, so take a moment to consider all the possibilities before you decide on anything. As the weekend approaches, you may notice that other people are starting to seem antsy, like they're ready for change. But it's those who are putting on a strong face right now who may need your support the most. Help to calm the nerves of loved ones by seeking out unconventional group activities that will allow you to relax and let go of your stresses.

Cancer

Get your ducks in a row, Cancer. Early in the week, your attention will be drawn to your most essential responsibilities. You may be in the mood to review your finances or perhaps even update your will. While getting things done will help put your mind at ease, make sure to take a break from the heaviness of this energy by connecting with loved ones and friends when you can. On the weekend, getting on the same page as your family could prove tricky if you're unwilling to compromise. Being closed off will only create chaos, so try to keep an open mind in order to maintain the peace. And if you don't know what to say, listen

Leo

Got love on the brain, Leo? If you're single, you may be in the mood to reach out to romantic interests and plan a few intimate evenings this week. Those in relationships could also feel the impulse to bring their connections to the next level. As you focus on these bonds, just make sure not to overextend yourself. The last thing you'd want to do is cancel plans with friends or colleagues — or not show up as your best self. By the time the weekend rolls around, you may be feeling ready to take a significant professional risk. This excitement may be short-lived, however, so it's wise to really do your research before biting off more than you can chew.

Virgo

There's always so much to do, Virgo. But as a wave of inspiration takes over on Monday, you may feel particularly energized to make strides. If there's a sense of urgency to accomplish everything quickly, try to make a list so you can prioritize your tasks. On the weekend, you may finally be ready to take some much-needed me-time. Instead of spending money to seek a rush, choose activities that allow you to recalibrate your senses, like going on a nature walk or taking a digital detox. You could also channel this energy into reorganizing your belongings and bringing new life to old items.

Libra

Embrace your inner artist, Libra. On Monday, your creative potential will shine through, and you can use this energy to guide your career in a beautiful new direction. Just be sure to share your ideas with trusted friends and family before making any big moves. If you're in a relationship, you may find it difficult to choose between snuggling up with your partner or taking a solo day trip on Saturday. Meanwhile, single Libras could be in for an unexpected meeting with someone special. On Sunday, small disagreements could easily boil over into full-blown arguments. You'll be wise to go with the flow if you want to protect your peace.

Scorpio

You can do anything, but you can't do everything, Scorpio. This week, your drive to fix things could start to overwhelm you and your loved ones if you aren't able to tame it — especially as your to-do list grows. Slow down, and choose a few easy items to complete first so you can enjoy the feeling of progress. Partnered Scorpios who cohabitate may feel the urge to stir the pot on Saturday. Instead of acting out, try communicating your desires and see if you can meet in the middle. Meanwhile, single Scorpios could attract free spirits, oddballs and other eccentric characters. If you're on the same page, however, it could turn out to be a real love connection.

Sagittarius

There's so much you want to say, Sagittarius. You may have even come up with an exciting idea recently that you're itching to share with the world. But on Monday, a little self-editing may be necessary as your mind will be moving way faster than your mouth. Try burning off some of this nervous energy by exploring your neighbourhood and allowing your mind to wander. On Saturday, you could find it challenging to focus on the responsibilities in front of you. If you can, throw caution to the wind and save these tasks for a day when you're able to give your full attention to all the details.

Capricorn

Creating a sense of security will be top of mind for you this week, Capricorn. Take simple precautions like changing your passwords, meeting with your bank and checking on your investments to help quell any anxieties you may have about your finances. After a long week at work, you may feel compelled to make a gusty career move that will allow you to acquire more cash. This intense energy should be taken with a grain of salt. Take some time to ponder whether this newfound interest is a pipe dream or the best path forward, and consider all the other places your passions could take you.

Aquarius

You've got a plan for living your best life, Aquarius. But maybe it's time to ask yourself: are there too many fine details here? Pushing too hard will only lead to exhaustion and heartbreak; aim to simplify your self-improvement schedule so you can start to enjoy the little things this week. By the weekend, you may find yourself needing a little alone time to be your weird and wonderful self. However, if you're craving connection instead, take the first step and reach out to loved ones. Try opening up about your beliefs to strengthen your bonds. Explore the unknown together.

Pisces

Have you had any puzzling dreams lately, Pisces? Take time to write them down and try to interpret their meaning this week — they could possess hidden knowledge that provides creative inspiration for your work or helps you process your emotions. Over the weekend, you may notice that friends and family members seem tense, and managing expectations in your relationships could be a bit of a struggle as a result. Try to give people the space they need to be themselves, but don't hesitate to offer a shoulder to cry on if they seem to need it. Your presence will be a calming foundation during this time.
