So to give you a push in the right direction, we asked our resident CBC Life astrologer, Bryanna Collier, to come up with some pop culture costume recommendations that are perfectly suited to each sign. Scroll down for all the ideas and inspiration you need to put together a memorable look.

Aries

(Orion Pictures/Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures, Netflix, Walt Disney Pictures/Buena Vista Pictures)

Bryanna says: Rams aren't known to do anything halfway, and Halloween is no exception. This year, try leaning into your passion for the season by paying homage to one of your childhood faves. Your sentimental spirit is sure to get a kick out of dressing as characters from The Addams Family, the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus or Frankenstein's monster and his bride.

Taurus

Collage of Charli XCX and Troye Sivan, ASAP Rocky, and Dune’s Chani and Paul Atredies.

Bryanna says: A walk on the wild side could be just what a Taurus needs this All Hallow's Eve. Try a superstar lifestyle on for size by taking your cues from style icons Charli XCX and Troye Sivan, or ASAP Rocky. If you've got time to spare, a DIY version of the stillsuits worn by Dune's Chani or Paul Atredies could make a lasting impression.

Gemini

Collage of Elphaba and Glinda from the Wicked movie, Chucky and his bride Tiffany, the Olsen twins at the Met Gala, and the Olsens dressed as witches when they were kids.

Bryanna says: A couple's costume is essential for a Gemini, whether you're teaming up with a family member, friend, romantic partner or pet. This year, you and your accomplice could cause a real stir as Elphaba and Glinda from the upcoming Wicked movie or Chucky and his bride Tiffany from the classic Child's Play franchise. Or, of course, there's always the Olsen twins — two ultra-famous Geminis in their own right.

Cancer

A collage of Beetlejuice and Lydia, Carrie White from the movie Carrie, and Ash from 1981’s The Evil Dead.
(United Artists, Warner Bros., Renaissance Pictures/New Line Cinema)

Bryanna says: Sweet crabs are typically known for their softer sides, which makes Halloween a perfect opportunity to wade into the darkness. No one will accuse you of being delicate when you show up to the door dressed as Beetlejuice and Lydia, Carrie White or Ash from 1981's The Evil Dead.

Leo

A collage of Clueless’s Cher and Dionne, Elisabeth Sparkle and Sue from The Substance, and Deadpool and Lady Deadpool.
(Working Title Films, Paramount Pictures, Marvel)

Bryanna says: Leos are famous for their fantastic stage presence and commanding attention wherever they go. If you're looking for a costume that'll help you do just that, Clueless's Cher and Dionne could be a great fit. For a more recent movie homage, look to Elisabeth Sparkle and Sue from the recent body horror film The Substance. Or perhaps, this year, you'll appreciate hiding behind a Deadpool or Lady Deadpool mask and disappearing into the crowd for once.

Virgo

Bryanna says: Buttoned-up Virgos can jump at the chance to experiment with different personas this All Hallow's Eve. You might have fun exploring the wilder side of your wardrobe to dress up as the titular Emily in Paris. Alternatively, a salute to Jojo Siwa's latest rebrand could prove chill-inducing — especially if you're ready to bust out the Karma dance. Or, if you're feeling nostalgic, 1996's Romeo + Juliet could act as prime inspiration for a romantic couple's costume.

Libra

Collage of Pennywise the clown, Chappell Roan and Judge Judy.

Bryanna says: Known for being balanced and level-headed, Libras often try to be considerate of everyone they encounter. Not this Halloween! You could terrify people as Pennywise from It, or really any clown. However, the Midwest Princess herself — Chappell Roan — is a fantastic choice if you're ready to take up more space and channel your inner rockstar. Or, if you'd like to truly embody the essence of your sign, Judge Judy is sure to be a crowd favourite and the costume will probably be easy to piece together.

Scorpio

Bryanna says: Scorpios tend to delight in keeping people guessing. And since everyone might think you'll pull something spooky out of your tickle trunk this Halloween, why not shock them with a softer approach? Get in touch with your lovey-dovey side by grabbing an accomplice and dressing as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce or Titanic's Jack and Rose. Or, if you're looking for something a bit more low-key, people will surely get a kick out of your rendition of Wayne or Garth from Wayne's World — and you'll be comfortable all night.

Sagittarius

Bryanna says: Want to command the room this Halloween, Sagittarius? Choose a costume that enriches your confidence. Dressing as Beyoncé in her Cowboy Carter era (or really any era) is sure to make you feel like pop royalty. You might also have fun showing off your moves on the dance floor dressed as Australian breaker Ray Gunn circa her performance at the 2024 Olympic Games. Or, if you're looking for a tried-and-true costume that everyone will recognize, doll yourself up as Mia or Vincent from Pulp Fiction.

Capricorn

Bryanna says: Capricorns are known for working hard and playing harder. Make your time off the clock count this All Hallow's Eve by partying in style like Sabrina Carpenter. If you want to get in touch with your inner slacker, you could don Ferris Bueller's signature look. Or, if you're in the market for a topical couple's costume, you could pay homage to BFFs Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart wearing matching equestrian outfits at the Paris Olympics.

Aquarius

(Netflix, Walt Disney Pictures, TikTok/@naraazizasmith)

Bryanna says: Aquarians thrive off of diving into territory that's unknown and unexpected. So this Halloween, why not choose a costume that allows you to explore your fascination with the fictional past? Dressing as any character from the Bridgerton bunch would surely be a delight. Or, if you're feeling more conceptual, you could take on Nara Smith's infamous TikTok persona by dressing to the nines and carrying a cookbook for recipes she's made. In a time crunch? A tiara and a pair of headphones could quickly transform you into Mia Thermopolis from The Princess Diaries.

Pisces

Collage of Arthur Fleck or Lee Quinzel from Joker: Folie à Deux, Ariel from The Little Mermaid and the cast of Selling Sunset.
(Walt Disney Pictures, Netflix, DC Entertainment)

Bryanna says: Gentle Pisces, get ready to make a splash this Halloween. You can enjoy embracing your delirious side by transforming into Arthur Fleck or Lee Quinzel from Joker: Folie à Deux. If you prefer to embody the spirit of your sign, Ariel from The Little Mermaid could be a perfect choice. Or, if those costumes aren't quite scary enough for you, dressing up as anyone from the cast of Selling Sunset is sure to be a conversation-starter.
