A man (Antony) and a woman (Sarika) stand back to back, looking over their shoulders directly to camera. They are in front of a blue backgound. The text reads "The Nature of Things." In the background, the following words appear as a list: life, biology, climate, evolution, humans, food, ecosystems, water, plants, sound, stars.

The Nature of Things is one of the most successful series in the history of Canadian television.

Between 1979 and 2023, the series was hosted by world-renowned geneticist and environmentalist David Suzuki. In 2024, two new hosts join the show: Sarika Cullis-Suzuki, a marine biologist by training, and Anthony Morgan, who has spent the last 20 years working in multiple fields across science communication to show people the power science has to transform human lives for the better.

Every week, the influential program presents stories that are driven by a scientific understanding of the world. Stories full of adventure, drama and insight. Our programs entertain and inspire audiences by engaging with the people and personalities behind the science. The Nature of Things throws open the door to the wonder and accomplishments of science.
