On Good People, host Mark Sakamoto looks at how two cities have taken very different approaches to the crisis
In Good People, host Mark Sakamoto travels to two communities ravaged by the opioid crisis — Prince George, B.C. and Burlington, Vt. — to see the different ways they've tried to tackle the problem.
One city tries to push people who use drugs off the streets, while a DIY non-profit tries desperately to keep them safe. But the other one has implemented a bold strategy of outreach and assistance that focuses on helping the whole person, views addiction as disease, and doesn't necessarily view total abstinence as the only acceptable outcome.
