The Canadian Screen Awards returned on Monday evening, showcasing Canadian greatness in a way that had never been imagined before. We want to send out a special congratulations to all the winners for their phenomenal talent across the country!

Monday's 2020 Canadian Screen Awards Virtual Presentations for Lifestyle & Reality honoured the extraordinary Canadian nominees in a first-ever online-only ceremony. The week of awards ceremonies were cancelled in early March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Special congratulations are in order for our very own CBC Docs for their monumental wins this award season!  Below are a list of all the CBC Docs contributions and wins that we took home at the Canadian Screen Awards.

Finding the Secret Path (CBC, Secret Path 2 Inc.) won two honours, including Best Direction, Documentary Program (Mike Downie) and Best Biography Or Arts Documentary Program Or Series (Mike Downie, Gord Downie, Patrick Downie, Patrick Sambrook, Stuart Coxe, Craig Baines, Norma Mendoza)

Winston LaRose is known as Mr. Jane and Finch in the Jane and Finch community. LaRose is also an 'amateur documentarian' and he has been documenting the black community for the past 50 years. (CBC)
Mr. Jane and Finch (CBC, Oya Media Group) won two awards, including the Donald Brittain Award For Best Social/Political Documentary Program (Alison Duke, Ngardy Conteh George) And  Best Writing, Documentary (Alison Duke, Ngardy Conteh George)

The Accountant of Auschwitz Documentary Channel (CBC)(TLNT Productions, Good Soup Productions) Garnered four awards, including Best History Documentary (Ric Esther Bienstock, Ricki Gurwitz, Randi Kirshenbaum, Jeff Sackman, Berry Meyerowitz, Jordan Nahmias), Best Visual Research AND Editorial Research (Ricki Gurwitz) and Best Music (Ken Myhr).
