Simu Liu drops an epic diss track on Ryan Reynolds
If you've ever known someone in a fantasy football league, you know that it's taken very, very seriously. And for Kim's Convenience star Simu Liu, he's no exception.
Hot off wrapping his big-screen debut in Marvel's Shang-Chi, Liu dropped a fire diss track taking on fellow Canadian superhero Ryan Reynolds, who he's competing against in the ABGO Fantasy Football League.
An example of Liu's skill at taking down Reynolds includes the quip, "Now I'm a big fan of Deadpool, I don't mean to be blunt, but Deadpool's CGI man, I do my own stunts."
The AGBO Superhero League presented by FanDuel, is a charity fantasy football league founded by Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo, and is run by celebrity fantasy football league commissioner Guillermo Lozano, along with ESPN Fantasy Football expert Matthew Berry.
The league features the biggest stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) playing for charity, and in this second season, $1 million will be donated to charities selected by the participants to charities of their choice based on their standings.
So far, Reynolds has not yet retaliated back against Simu, but that doesn't mean Vancouver's own doesn't have something brewing.
In this year’s @AGBOleague, we’re playing fantasy football for a million dollars towards the charity of our choice.

So you know I’m not gonna hold back on the trash talk.

Better call Tim Hortons @VancityReynolds, cuz this roast... is about to get DARK. pic.twitter.com/UaYnNhQlCK

Recently Reynolds made news when hearing about the need for parkas in a Nunavut community, and calling in some help from Canada Goose, donated 300 coats, boots, socks, hats & mitts.
Reynolds is also caught up in another celebrity "feud" with Hugh Jackman, which Reynolds has teased on his Instagram, and will benefit the SickKids Foundation.
Having wrapped filming on Shang-Chi, Liu is back in Toronto to shoot his role in CBC's Kim's Convenience, which has been renewed for two additional seasons. It was also recently announced that Liu is taking on another role as UNICEF's Canada Ambassador.
