Man declares board game to be over now that he's winning
OTTAWA, ON—An Ottawa man playing a game of, oh let's say Risk, was heard to announce that the whole group could probably finish up the game right now, an event which perhaps coincidentally came as soon as he had temporarily taken the lead.
"We good, you guys?? I think we're good." he was heard to remark immediately after he had taken the majority of the countries on the board.
"I don't think anybody's really that interested in playing anymore, are they? Let's just say: things are how they are and that's how they can stay."

An odd detail to the story is that according to observers and other competitors, the man had been continually suggesting changes to the game during the period when he was not yet winning.
"Okay, guys, hey guys? Maybe just for this round, when anyone rolls a 2, the person in last place gets $500. Just to help even things out a bit. I'm in last place but it will pay off for you later if you're in last place, because we'll keep that rule, we won't change it. It's not really fair how things are right now. I'm kind of losing interest."
As soon as he surged ahead, however, his conciliatory tone was heard to change.
Actually maybe don't worry about those new rules.- That guy
"Huh. Actually maybe don't worry about those new rules. I know I suggested them but actually now that I've had a couple minutes to think I'm not sure they would really work? They're not super-practical? It would be hard to figure out how to do them, too. Let's just plow ahead."
Shortly after, even that simple continuation of the game was beyond him, however.
"I'm getting really tired," he said. "Is everybody fine with the result right now? You're not, Tom? You either, Elizabeth? Well I think a lot of the people at the party are fine with it, the ones who aren't playing. Hey guys! Guys! Would any of you mind if we just stopped playing right now? See they don't care," he said.
"I don't think they're even paying attention."
