CUTE! Americans celebrate their own adorable little version of Canadian Thanksgiving
Aw! I guess it's that time of year again, huh? The Americans are gonna get dressed up and do the fun Thanksgiving thing. You know, like the one we already did a month ago?
I guess they don't care that we already did it? Well, I suppose if that doesn't bother them, it doesn't bother us. It's fun to see them follow our lead. As long as they're safe and have fun!
But again: we did it. In October. So.

In the Canadian system as we have developed it, the fall season peaks with Halloween, which is quite reasonable, right? What could you possibly achieve afterward that compares to walking around to everybody's house and receiving, with the utterance of just three simple words, a handful of candy before you just turn your back and walk away with their treats (also you are dressed very outlandishly)? But I mean… if you want to achieve that sort of perfect sweet satisfaction and then two weeks later say, "Oh, right, um, more food and some football?" that's up to you.
Us, though? Thanksgiving. Boom. Candy. Boom. Ghosts. Boom. Then a sweet two-month build to Christmas. Smooth sailing.
I do have to admit, though, it's pretty cute when the Americans give it a go every year. It's charming as heck, really, especially the way some of them will put on a big colourful football jersey (they're always a bit too big for their bodies, but you know they'll grow into it by dessert). By the way, that's another fun one. "I ate too muuuuch!" No perspective on the matter. Again, we Canadians know we're just stretching out our stomachs for Halloween – the ultimate meal.
So have fun today, America. We know you need it right now.
We already released our own Thanksgiving special too:
