CBC to air Justin Trudeau's last shirtless day of summer live and ad-free
OTTAWA, ON—After attracting a record-breaking 11.7 million viewers for the Tragically Hip's Kingston concert, CBC has announced its next live event: Justin Trudeau's final shirtless day of summer, set to air on Labour Day Monday.
As summer comes to an end, Canadians are clamouring for one last glance at shirtless Justin Trudeau before he covers up those glistening pecs for a long Canadian winter.
"We are now entering the dog days of summer, and the country just isn't ready to say goodbye to sunny days on the beach, drinks at the cottage, or shirtless Justin Trudeau," said CBC's president and CEO Hubert T. Lacroix. "I mean, his chest really and truly is the voice of Canada."

Since Trudeau started taking off his shirt in public, his beautiful body has become a staple of Canadian culture. "Sure, maybe topless Trudeau didn't take off in the States, except for like, one or two pictures," said Lacroix, "but does it have to? He's had a healthy, uniquely Canadian career being shirtless right here at home."
Millions are expected to tune in for the live event – but not everyone.
"Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of naked-nipple Justin," says Jack Winston, 24, of Kenora. "I'm more of a Tom-Mulcair-in-a-speedo man, myself. Although, every now and then I'll take a look at a picture of Jack Layton in short shorts. One of the classics."
"Shirtless Justin Trudeau hasn't had a huge effect on me personally," says Mary Moore of Ajax. "But my dad has seen every picture of shirtless Justin Trudeau. He'd always trot out his favourites when we were at the cottage. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smile on my father's face as he eye-bangs the leader of our country."
"I can't believe this is it," says a tearful Thomas Hancock from Toronto. "His abs have always been there for me... for all of us... but to think that they will be covered up for the next six months? It just breaks my heart. They say 'suns out, guns out' but, if the sun is gone… well, then what?"
Craig Hanlon from Calgary fondly recalls, "I remember the first shirtless picture I ever saw was when he did that boxing match, but other than that –oh, wait, I also know that one of him with that family on vacation. That's a great one. And the one of him staring at that couple getting married on the beach. Huh, you know what? Now that I think about it, I actually do know quite a few of his shirtless pics."
Tune in to CBC for the Prime Ministers' last shirtless day on Labour Day Monday. The event will take place in Trudeau's hometown of Ottawa as he sneaks up on an elderly couple celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, adorably making the whole day about him.
