Drake, Justin Bieber and Serial Joe to boycott Grammys, two of them intentionally
LOS ANGELES, CA—Canadian music superstars Drake and Justin Bieber are reportedly considering a boycott of this year's Grammy ceremony due to concerns that the ceremony is growing irrelevant due to its lack of representation of young, progressive, and black artists.
Newmarket, Ontario's own Serial Joe announced they are also considering a boycott, due to reasons of, well, they will think of one but it was definitely their choice.

"We have heard people's concerns regarding representation and relevance, and this is very upsetting to us as a band, especially as a band from southern Ontario," said lead singer Ryan Dennis via a statement on the band's MySpace page.
"For that reason we won't be going. Even if they ask us, which… you know, look, I haven't checked my email yet today. So it's literally equally likely that the invitation is there and not there. That's how probability works. It's a classic case of Schrödinger's Grammy Invitation."
We are willing in future, however, to collaborate with any Grammy winners from this year's ceremony, including, but not limited to, Beyonce, Lorde, and Kendrick Lamar.- Ryan Dennis, Serial Joe singer, via Myspace
The posting, far from being a general blanket statement, went on to make specific declarations, including that "We will by no means play our hit song 'Skidrow' if asked, nor will we play anything off our first full-length album, 'Face Down,' which was technically classified as a Gold seller. We will accept no Grammys in the categories of Rock, Alternative, Hard Rock, or Metal."
"This is not only a refusal of any prizes based on the merits of this year's music," the statement continued.
"The fact we did not release any music this year would make such a promise seem empty. For that reason we will also turn down, if and when offered, any lifetime achievement awards and Special Prizes. There are no hard feelings, however, and we are willing in future, however, to collaborate with any Grammy winners from this year's ceremony, including, but not limited to, Beyonce, Lorde, and Kendrick Lamar."
At press time there had been no similar statements yet issued by Snow, Kim Mitchell, or Econoline Crush.
