Comedy·LIFE'S MYSTERIES

Don't you hate how you always lose just one pant-leg in the laundry?

What is it about a washing machine that makes one leg from at least one of the pairs you tossed in there just disappear?!?!

Welp, it happened again.

Headed into the laundry room to do some laundry.

As we all do.

Threw it all in and started the cycle.

Sound familiar yet?

Then I pulled out all the shirts, blouses, and pants I'd put in.

Well, almost all of the pants.

You all know exactly what I'm talking about here.

What is it about a washing machine that makes one leg from at least one of the pairs you tossed in there just disappear?!

I don't know where this magical land of forgotten pant legs is, but one day I'm going to find it, and millions of people around the world are going to say, "So that's where that went!"

One half of my favourite jeans disappeared a couple months ago, which really got on my nerves, but probably the most unfortunate incident, given the increasingly beautiful weather, was when I washed three pairs of shorts, only to find that the right leg of each one was nowhere to be found when I opened the dryer back up.

They're matching legs! I need both, Laundry Thief!

I guess it's just one of those mysteries of life that will always be present and keeping things interesting for us, like how your car keys are always in the last place you look, because you always forget to check the ignition of your car until last, and that's where they always are.

Even though that's where they should be; they turn the car on.

I'm sure it's something I can get used to, though I'll keep thinking of why this mysterious disappearance is such a common one. Until then, keep one eye open… and on one pant-leg.
