Illustrated by Kai Yun Ching & Wai-Yant Li, From the Stars in the Sky to the Fish in the Sea is about a young child named Miu Lan who can't decide whether to be a boy or a girl, a bird or a fish, a flower or a shooting star. It's a beautifully imagined picture book about gender, identity and the acceptance of the differences between us all.

"The book is truly the best thing I have ever created as an artist," said Cheng Thom on her Facebook page.

"Julie Andrews is a hero of mine, as she is for so many people... I am truly overwhelmed and honoured to hear my words in her legendary voice."

Julie's Library is a podcast Andrews hosts with her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton. Together, they read their favourite children's books.

Other books they have read so far include The Wolf, the Duck & the Mouse by Mac Barnett and illustrated by Canadian Jon Klassen, Marilyn's Monster by Michelle Knudsen and illustrated by Matt Phelan and Bears Don't Eat Egg Sandwiches by Julie Fulton and illustrated by Rachel Suzanne.

Cheng Thom is also the author of the poetry collection a place called No Homeland, the novel Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars and the essay collection I Hope We Choose Love.
