If there is a 5-way tie on Day One of Canada Reads, this survey will be used to help break the tie.

The book leading the survey will be saved from elimination. The panellist who had voted against that title must change their vote, thereby deciding which book gets eliminated. Here's more information about how ties are broken on Canada Reads.

The debates will take place March 27-30, 2023.

They will be hosted by Ali Hassan and will be broadcast on CBC Radio OneCBC TVCBC GemCBC Listen and on CBC Books

The debates will take place live at 10:05 a.m. ET (that's an hour earlier than recent years!). You can tune in live or catch a replay on the platform of your choice. You can see all the broadcast details here.
