Join the Canada Reads authors and panellists in conversation on March 2
Indigo is presenting a virtual conversation with the Canada Reads 2021 authors and panellists. The event will be hosted by Ali Hassan.
This is the only time all five panellists and all five authors will come together for a conversation.
The event is taking place on Tuesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. ET.
The Canada Reads 2021 contenders are:
- Olympian and broadcaster Rosey Edeh champions The Midnight Bargain by C.L. Polk
- Singer-songwriter Scott Helman champions Two Trees Make a Forest by Jessica J. Lee
- Actor and filmmaker Devery Jacobs champions Jonny Appleseed by Joshua Whitehead
- Actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee champions Hench by Natalie Zina Walschots
- Chef, recording artist and TV host Roger Mooking champions Butter Honey Pig Bread by Francesca Ekwuyasi
It will be on the virtual event platform Crowdcast. The event is free, but you must register in advance. You can get your tickets here.
Over the course of an hour, Hassan will speak to the contenders, in their panellist/author pairs, about Canada Reads. Audience members will be able to ask questions as well.
Hassan is an actor, comedian and host of CBC Radio's Laugh Out Loud and a frequent guest host of As it Happens and q. He can also be seen in his recurring TV roles on Designated Survivor, Odd Squad and Cardinal.
The debates will take place March 8-11, 2021.
They will be broadcast on CBC Radio One, CBC TV, CBC Gem and on CBC Books.
