Alberta's gender-bending 'Buffalo Boy' sells bison painting to British Museum (CBC Calgary)
Adrian Stimson is going from his ancestral home in southern Alberta to the hallowed halls of the British Museum. The Indigenous artist — who uses his campy alter ego, Buffalo Boy, to explore colonialism and Aboriginal stereotypes — scored a slot in the museum's Blackfoot collection with his evocative bison painting Event II.
