Maast is always on the hunt for unusual treasures and their home studio houses their inspiring collections
Their work is all over Toronto, but you might not know their names. Danielle Hession and Mahmood Popal are the couple behind Maast — a design firm that's created interiors for concert venues (Danforth Music Hall), cafes (Quantum Coffee), clothing stores (Sauvage) and even the office of the company that produced this very web series (Mile Inn).
And on this episode of The Places We Call Art, director J.D. Leblanc gets a tour of their light-filled downtown home. It's filled with the found objects that inspire them. As Hession says in the video: "We're constantly searching for new items whether it's at antique stores or even items that we find on the street."
