Aysanabee is an Oji-Cree musician, producer and multi-instrumentalist from the Sucker Clan of Sandy Lake First Nation. His breakthrough album, Watin, has become one of the most buzzed-about Canadian debuts in recent memory. It's part soulful powerhouse, part historical document and part journalistic investigation. He dropped by the Q studio to talk about it.
