The new Bahá'í Temple of South America has been called "embodied light"
Last November, producer Sarah Keenlyside told you about the new Bahá'í temple just outside of Santiago, Chile that's been the product of well over ten years of vision, planning and construction. La Casa de Adoración Bahá'í de Sudamérica is the creation of Toronto's Hariri Pontarini Architects — and this autumn, it will be open to the public.
In this video directed by Keenlyside, get a preview of how light is the driving force behind this impossible-looking construction of glass, steel and stone, and you'll find out why that light was so important to Hariri Pontarini's conception of a new temple in the Bahá'í faith.
Watch Exhibitionists Sundays at 4:30pm (5 NT) on CBC.
