In need of a monster alter ego? We've found the artist for you
Mild-mannered Montreal artist Ian Langohr is making giant monster heads
When artist Ian Langohr was in art school, he made some surreal creatures out of wood. But once he combined that talent with work in a mascot studio (as in, the place that makes those huge mascots you see at arenas and the like), he started making huge and rather unusual heads.
Now, Langohr's known for his hand-sewn creations. At festivals, adults and kids interact with them — and as you'll see in this video, the artist himself is not opposed to wearing them around town. His heads (or masks? We're not sure) aren't what you'd see at a sporting event, though — Langohr's definitely gone next-level.
From zombie cats to a head that looks like a factory, you're about to find out that this artist can make pretty much anything into a creature.
