Rock 'n' roll legend Robbie Robertson died on Wednesday at the age of 80.

The singer-songwriter and film composer had a long and varied career in the arts, but he was perhaps best known as the former leader of The Band. He wrote many of The Band's timeless hits, like Up on Cripple Creek, The Weight, and Ophelia.

Daniel Lanois produced Robertson's first solo album, and Tom Wilson is a Mohwak musician, author and massive admirer of Robertson.

Lanois and Wilson join Commotion host Elamin Abdelmahmoud to remember Robertson's creative legacy and lasting impact on the arts in Canada.
