How does Priscilla fit into Sofia Coppola's canon?
Alison Willmore and Jackson Weaver share their thoughts on the director's new movie about Priscilla Presley
Many of Sofia Coppola's films explore the trajectory of an average teenage girl who comes of age right next to celebrity — and her latest muse, Priscilla Presley, is no exception.
Coppola's latest film, Priscilla, is an adaptation of the 1985 memoir Elvis and Me by Priscilla herself. It tells the story of her relationship with the King of Rock and Roll from her perspective, starting with their meeting in 1959 — when Priscilla was just 14 and Elvis was 24.
Culture critics Alison Willmore and Jackson Weaver join guest host Amil Niazi to share their thoughts on the film and how it's being received by both audiences and Presley's family alike.
